Cramp

The most common area to experience cramps is in the legs and feet. Muscles cramp for all sorts of reasons, but it is still not well understood why this happens in the first place or why reoccurring cramps happen, that said, there are some factors which can increase the likelihood of cramping, such as; your current health, mental wellbeing and stress, sporting activities, diaphragm function, general circulation, nerve function, nerve pathways and lifestyle.

We may be able to help you reduce your cramps’ frequency and intensity with hands on treatment and advice. This may involve gentle muscles stretching and muscular massage that you can’t quite reach or do yourself at home.

For some patients, we may need to refer you to your GP if further investigations need to be taken or if the cramps are very severe as some medications can help reduce severity.
